A fictionalized account based on real events surrounding Juan Roa Sierra, the alleged assassin of Colombian political leader Jorge Eliécer Gaitán. Set in Bogotá in the days leading up to 9 April 1948, the film follows an unemployed and superstitious Roa as he becomes entangled in the events that culminate in Gaitán’s assassination and the Bogotazo.
