María del Carmen, a teenager from a privileged family in Cali, abandons her comfortable life and immerses herself in the city’s nightlife. Moving from rock parties to the world of salsa, she explores freedom, desire and excess while crossing the social boundaries of 1970s Cali. The film is based on the cult novel by Colombian writer Andrés Caicedo.
